Palm Sunday Service

Prayer of Dedication

Reading by Assistant:

THIS, THE DAY OF OUR LORD’S TRIUMPHAL ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM.  MANY OF US THIS DAY HAVE ENTERED INTO THE INNER TEMPLE AND HAVE NOT FULLY BEEN GRATEFUL FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF THE WORKING WITH THE SELF.

WE SHOULD FEEL LIKE HUMBLE SLAVES READY AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THE GOD WITHIN AND TAKE ON THE TRUE NATURE AND TRIUNE PERSONALITY OF THE CHRISTOS IN THE IMAGE OF CHRIST JESUS, LORD OF EARTH.

THROUGH THE ARISEN CHRIST JESUS AND THE RENUNCIATION, LET US TRULY RENOUNCE THE EARTH AND PROVIDE A NEW EARTH FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS OF SOULS INCARNATING HERE, A TRULY MATERIALIZED NEW HEAVEN.

AND NOW, CHRIST JESUS, UPON COMPLETION OF HIS MINISTRY WAS CONSCIOUSLY DRAWING NEAR TO JERUSALEM WHERE HE WOULD CLIMAX HIS MINISTRY WITH THOSE THINGS AND THOSE EVENTS OF THE COMING PASSION WEEK WHICH WE CELEBRATE–FOR HE WAS ABOUT TO PERFORM ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTS OF INITIATION, COMMONLY CALLED THE CHRISTIAN MYSTERY, THE GREATEST OF ALL MYSTERIES—THAT OF HIS TRIAL, CRUCIFIXION, DEATH AND RESURRECTION AND THE ASCENSION TO COME.  SO THEN, HIS APPROACHING JERUSALEM IS NOT ONLY THE TERMINAL POINT OF HIS MINISTRY BUT WAS ALSO SYMBOLIC OF THE INITIATION WHICH ALL MEN GO THROUGH AS THEY APPROACH THE REALITY OF LIFE, GOING WITHIN THEMSELVES AND SEEKING SELF MASTERY.  THAT THEY TOO MAY BECOME REBORN AND HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY LIKE JESUS TOLD HIS DISCIPLES:  “OF ALL THESE THINGS WHICH I DO, SO SHALL YE DO ALSO AND EVEN GREATER THAN THESE.”

WITH THE CROWNING OF ALL GIFTS OF NOT ONLY SUFFERING THE TORMENT OF ALL THE SINS OF THE EARTH, BUT PROMISING THAT MAN COULD CONQUER DEATH AND GO THROUGH THE ASCENSION THE SAME AS HE.

IF WE COULD BUT REALIZE THE GREAT GRACE AND GIFTS OF OUR LORD, WE SURELY WOULD TAKE ON, OR AT LEAST ATTEMPT TO TAKE ON, THE HUMILITY AND STEADFASTNESS OF PURPOSE AND DEDICATION OF THIS ORDER ON THIS DAY.

SO LET US AT THIS TIME REMEMBER THE GREATNESS OF CREATION OF THE FATHER IN HEAVEN BY REPEATING TOGETHER NOW, IN UNISON, THE PRAYER OF THE BROTHERS WHICH GIVES UNTO OUR LORD THE TOTAL DEDICATION OF OUR SERVICE UNTO THE MASTER OF THIS ORDER.

All recite the Prayer of the Brothers:

I strive, O Father–Creator of all,
To be a Nameless Wanderer,
To be perfect and all-sufficient.
So poised, so balanced,
That none but Self can comprehend.
All of this was unknown, unknowable.
The greatness, the splendor, the magnificence of all,
with the Majesty of Thy Power
I more than mind of man can conceive.
For in the beginning, O Father, all-knowing,
Thou didst speak the word
And the Word was with Thee,
And the Word was Thee,
And the greatness and the splendor
Of Thy Power didst manifest,
Not through mind, but Thy Self.
For then the Word took flesh, and
The great being of the Christos was born
In all magnificence and Power.
For this is the mystery that man has not understood.
For Thy Word Thou spokest once again.
God in great humility
Sealed in the fleshly body of a little child.
Thus was the Master Jesus born.
My every prayer shall be, and is
That in this Holy Family I be received
To be the servant of all.
To receive the great call.
Glory, glory, glory, Lord God of all.            Amen.
