In 2004, the stepped remains of the ancient Siloam Pool, long thought to be located elsewhere, were uncovered near the City of David. According to the Gospel of John, it was at this sacred  site that Jesus healed the blind man..

.As the Holy Order of MANS approaches it 58th year and the Science of Man is now 65, we as the remaining Brotherhood here on earth are all witnessing the teaching that our leaders spoke about all those years ago.

As Heaven and Earth come together, the physic plane has now blended into the physical world.  Things like mind control and filling our atmosphere with Light are now requirements of this “new age” we find ourselves in.

So-called “Artificial Intelligence” is increasingly  taking over the thinking for humanity. We should be mindful that AI is an unconscious entity, derived from the random thoughts of the human mind.  It is useful as a tool for some research as it categorizes for us the vast databank fed into it, but is not the totality of all knowledge and falls quite short of the collected databank of wisdom of the Masters and Ancients whose thoughts are drawn from the Cosmic Mind.

Our Lord and Master Jeus Christ taught us to keep our minds simple, so  our bodies would be filled with light.

As the summer solstice arrives, we are bathed in the light of the Son, (Sun).  Happy solstice my friends!

This teaching of Jesus and the Taoist warning in Chapter 30 of the Tao Te Ching are strikingly similar. Both point to a universal principle: violence tends to perpetuate itself. What begins as an attempt to control, conquer, or secure victory often creates the very conditions for future suffering. The sword does not merely harm its target; it shapes the heart and destiny of the one who wields it. As Lao Tzu observes, “Weapons often turn upon the wielder,” while Jesus expresses the same truth more succinctly: ”they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”

From Father Paul: Excerpts from “Initiations and Rituals” lesson
One hears the term initiation and one immediately thinks of some individual going into the high mountains of Tibet, or seeking something in the Himalayas somewhere, or perhaps into some of our mountains here in California.
But initiation and rituals of initiation are things which are universal and they are processes by which man finds his way through the labyrinth of untruths to the source and the chamber—the Akasha, the Mind of God— where he finds the truth and has the experiences which will give him the opportunity to move up the ladder in vibration, and to attain greater wisdom for greater service…
The temple in which the initiation is given is the world of God. The persons giving that initiation are the people about us who are our brothers, perhaps sisters. In this Order, it is undoubtedly the teachers, the Masters, the priests and our sisters and brothers who aid, perhaps even not knowing, in administering the conditions, the vibration, the colors, the light, the forms and artifacts which go to make up the condition in which the initiation is administered. And as far as the artifacts are concerned, there are many of them: the houses we live in, the temples we worship in, the altar in the sanctuary, the sacraments of baptism and communion, the daily existence in action, and thinking and words of our life. These are in reality a part of the initiation, and at different times.
Thus it is we have different tools in our lives, we have different professions; these are like the artifacts or the symbolism which we depict in our daily life. And as we move through these initiations, likewise our vocations change, our movements change, our places change and we move about the temple which is the world within which we live, the material world.
And then there is the unseen world, that which demonstrates and manifests within our life, giving us the true forms and the understandings of the things which we need to prepare us for the higher initiation of Illumination and God-Realization of the Self.
Many things are told as we go through these, and the teacher or Master directs us so that we too will understand the way in which we travel; and will direct us in the many initiations, the many experiences, until we have arrived at a point where we have gone through this ninth and tenth initiation, until it is necessary for us to work strictly on the other side of life, or the unseen world, and here then we await. Then we come through the period of transition, where the body is dropped, and we go on to a greater reality and the real reality. This is like the upper initiations of the great universal path; the way that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Master talked about.
Many people think these initiations of the world as they have been; or some which are still going on, are very—should we say—foreign to the church; and they might be called almost atheistic, or might be called rather undeveloped, and not civilized.
But this is not true; for let me read to you, or put in your understanding, a prayer used in one of the lower initiations, which to me speaks for itself:
God of all good,
Send forth the sweet and the strengthening vibrations at this time,
That I may discern the lessons of this initiation
That I may attune with all my brothers and sisters
Who are scattered over the face of the earth
At every hour help me to be worthy of the honor and the privilege of being a member of this Order
And enable me to toil diligently and unselfishly for mankind.

In the practices and the love of Thy Law.

May I ever be conscious of the obligation I owe to my brothers and sisters

And to all who need my help

And may I prove in time to be faithful as a toiler in the vineyard of our Lord Jesus Christ

And our Father Most High.                 Amen

…There are many things in this life which we seem to fail to recognize that God has provided for us—and has made way for us to enjoy.  One of these is the great reality which we live in

You find such things come into certain diagrams in the old temple and the movement thereof; but I ask you as you think, do you not come into certain diagrams and certain motions as you live through life?  Do you not move from here to there, where you will meet certain participants in your initiation —and there you will have an experience and will gain certain wisdom?

So the initiation is not a foreign thing, but we have looked at it as hard luck sometimes.  We have looked at it as pain and suffering sometimes, but this is not true.  Pain and suffering is not necessary if we do not bring it upon ourselves.  Moving into difficult experiences or difficult situations may be a needed reality.  And it changes the whole color of the life of the individual and why he is going through these particular experiences.  For it puts back of them the reality of the experience and it is not an accident…

The Bridge   There is a chasm, an abyss, that must be bridged at any moment, without warning, as it suddenly opens before our eyes.  If it is leaped swiftly and strongly the bridge is made, with safe landing

If you weep or weaken, you fall in and have to climb back out the hard way, which takes much longer, still it is not in vain.

Every time you cross, whether the quick way or the hard, you become more adept in spite of yourself, and in time the gap lessens, the rims draw closer together,.  When you find with surprise the leap has become quite easy, the chasm is ready to be closed and sealed.

Women walk through the pages of Jesus’ life with calm frequency.

They are often in his company, playing dramatic roles in his life’s story, and are consistently the recipients of his kindness and his gracious favors. To assume that he ignored or avoided or had little dealing with women is simply to leave out or pass over whole sections of the Gospel story, or to misunderstand the Christ.

Not only was he ever-mindful of his chosen apostles, but he appreciated fully the ministrations of the devoted women who followed him. He could read their minds and hearts, and they knew the depth of his compassion and understanding. They saw in him their advocate and courageous protector. His attitude toward women is one of the many beautiful and consoling things in his character. He did not shun or underrate them and his attitude was in contrast to the prevailing one of his time…

Among the portraits of the disciples, none is more impressive or important than that of Mary the mother of Jesus. At certain times during his ministry, she accompanied the Master on his journeys through the Holy Land. By her divinely-awakened powers, she also began following in his footsteps, ministering to the needy in company with the women disciples, biblically described as the “holy women”.

Mary, in all her life and being, became attuned completely with Spirit. She who had been blessed as the mother of the Holy Child, became an illumined One through the spiritual initiation of the Christ – the gift He could return to her.

The name Mary appears prominently in the Gospels; there were several persons with that name mentioned in Jesus’ life, in particular Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, who were his dear friends.Mary, the wife of Cleophas (supposedly a brother of Joseph) has been called both sister and sister-in-law of the Virgin.

Mary of Magdala, came from a small village upon the banks of the Sea of Galilee, near Capernaum. When this Mary first met the Master, she was steeped in sensual and material living. His spiritual presence and Light so impressed her that she soon renounced all to follow him.

In those days a woman who had morally slipped even a little was considered unredeemable and consigned to the gutter. Mary Magdalene was far less innocent, but eventually enacted the role of a prodigal daughter. Jesus knew that one who had seen the lowest depths, when at last fully repentant, was capable of rising to the heights. The casting out of seven devils connotes a spiritual process whereby her sevenfold nature was purified. The transformation which occurred in the life and character of Mary, at the awakening of the Christ within herself, presents a most beautiful example of redemption.

From among the lowest she became one of the highest. Mary Magdalene is considered the most advanced of the women Initiates in the Christian Mysteries, except the Virgin.  -The Story of Jesus ✢

Women weren’t on the margins of early Christianity. They were at its center.
Phoebe — described by Paul in his letter to the Romans using the Greek word diakonon. The exact same word used for male deacons in the same texts. Not a helper. Not a deacon’s assistant. A deacon, holding the same title, doing the same work.
Junia — described in Romans as outstanding among the apostles. Not associated with apostles. Not adjacent to apostles. An apostle herself, recognized as prominent among them.
Priscilla — teaching Christian doctrine alongside her husband as a full and equal partner, correcting other teachers on matters of faith, named first in several biblical passages in a culture where the man’s name came first by convention.
Mary Magdalene — the first witness to the resurrection. Personally commissioned by Jesus to carry the news to the male disciples. The early church gave her a specific title that theologians including Thomas Aquinas would later repeat: apostle to the apostles.  These were not footnotes. These were leaders in the founding generation of the faith.
…  In medieval manuscripts, the name Junia — a woman’s name, unambiguously feminine in ancient Greek, with no masculine equivalent anywhere in the historical record — had been quietly changed. Scholars had written “Junias” in its place. A male name. One that had never existed in any ancient Greek text, anywhere.
They had invented a man to replace a woman because they could not accept that Paul had called a woman an apostle.  The change was there in the manuscripts. Visible. Traceable. Documented.
Rosemary Radford Ruether, a Catholic and a theologian researcher who went back to original Greek and other sources didn’t call it tradition. She called it what the evidence showed it to be — a historical revision, carried out across centuries, recorded in the very texts that claimed to represent unchanging truth.  And then she did something the institutions hadn’t anticipated.
She handed the evidence back to the church.  Your own scriptures, she said, show women teaching, leading, and holding authority in the earliest communities. These restrictions did not originate with Jesus. They developed later, through human decisions made by people with human interests. And the historical record — your . historical record — proves it.
The response was entirely predictable. She was called a radical. A threat to the faith. Someone who wanted to tear down what had been built.  But Rosemary wasn’t attacking Christianity.  She was insisting that Christianity be honest about its own history.
The women were there. At the beginning, at the center, in the original Greek.  Phoebe. Junia. Priscilla. Mary Magdalene.  Their names are in the text. Their roles are documented. History placed them there — and one woman who refused to stop asking questions made sure history couldn’t bury them again.    ********
Jesus was not sent here to teach the people to build magnificent churches and temples amidst the cold wretched huts and dismal hovels. He came to make the human heart a temple, and the soul an altar, and the mind a priest “  -Khalil Gibran  in Jesus The Son of Man

THE KNIGHT KING OF JUVA   – by Mother Ruth, circa 1970

Religion was never a problem on the planet Juva, even before the coming of the Knight-King.  For their way of life was their religion.  They had long graduated from the temperamental immaturity which fostered divided beliefs, emotional fanaticism, or walls between faith and faith.

But they loved to  tell of the great Knight-King of old who came to them straight from the heaven worlds.  There was no problem of believing or not believing in him.  Thousands saw him arrive, floating down in his dazzling white garb reminiscent of a shining knight.  There was even a white horse awaiting him on the surface of the planet.  Many saw him land lightly on the back of this horse and then take off before they could catch their breath, riding “like the wind”, and swiftly out of their sight.  No one in the crowd saw where he went, and for many years he remained undiscovered, while conjecture played upon this even, the delight of every story-teller from that time on.

Those who were present gasped with delight at the beauty and graceful perfection of the scene.  Surely their God had sent this One, and he had come to help them out of their increasing problems.  But as time passed and there was no further word, they grew uneasy.  What was he up to?  Were his motives good?  Was he going to destroy them?  There was reason enough to worry, and the rulers of the vast planet offered great rewards for his capture, or for any information leading to his whereabouts.

The people had fallen away from their old precepts.  In fact, they had lost the way back to the heaven world where the good should always have a place waiting for them when they take that step off the edge of the planet to leave it forever, or, for a long time (at least.)  The way to the secret Bridge upward, because it was not visible to mortal eyes, had been gradually forgotten.  Even the priests had become vague as to which way one should go to find it.  As a result, thousands who were leaving their vehicles behind to take off for parts unknown were stalled just beyond the outer rim of the planet, wandering in the darkness of their own minds, trying to find the way.

The gathering thickness of these many troubled souls and their presence hovering close by began to be felt by the residents of the whole planet.  They could not figure out why this subtle gloom had settled over them, but could they have seen it, the aggregate fear and despair had penetrated the atmosphere of the whole globe and lay like a heavy dark mental cloud over all the living, so that the thinking and temperament of all the people began to sink to a lower level.  Their living habits grew lax, and people had literally “lost the Way” to such an extent that they even stopped trying to look for it anymore.  The downward path was  too easy to find, even though it was invisible—in fact, camouflaged (amid the most desirable surroundings)— here was a slick lubricating grease poured over its glassy-smooth surface, so that sooner or later the unwary could hardly  avoid it; if they walked that way at all.  The location was moved from time to time so its whereabouts would not be discovered; but the voices of those who had formerly tried to warn the people and teach them how to avoid such traps, and attempted to get rid of them as fast as they were built, these were no longer heard from.

Few cared anymore.  They had given up trying by the time the Shining Knight appeared.  Those few who were still concerned about the fate of their people and planet saw in his arrival a sure hope, and they sought in quiet ways to find his whereabouts that they too might align  themselves with him.  They had called loud and long to ’God for help, and now they awaited word from this Mighty One.  And of course, he found ways to bring each of them to his side—as though by coincidence they were drawn.  All of the most faithful had found him within two years.  Although Juva was a huge planet to traverse, he found them all.—though they thought they had found him.  It was not until  years later that the full story could be told.

It was very simple, in reality.  But it changed the lives of the people on the whole planet.  There were different kings over the many provinces, though not all were called kings.  Most were elected.  Ruling above all of them was a king-over-kings who was called Grand Eminence.  When the planet  had been in its “right mind” they had a fine government, though all acknowledged there was much to learn.  In those days all were trying to govern well, to learn from their errors and correct them.

Then came the days of darkness, and somehow the mind-pollution got through even to the heads of government so that they began to take advantage of their positions and of the people, instead of giving their time to help them, as is the duty of government.  At their head was the most dissolute of them all.  He who had shown most promised before taking the throne had reverted to a misuse of power that was appalling, using his personal charisma to camouflage his acts.

Far, far above them, where no such problems existed, was another throne.  Here lived a beautiful Knight with the King of all the Heaven World.  It was obvious to them what was happening to the people below, but they had given those beings free will and hesitated to interfere with them.  However, things finally got so bad, there was nothing left to do but help them out.  With all their freedom of choice they had made so many unwise moves, it had gotten past the point where they could help themselves.  [cont. next issue]

For God So Loved the World

Several weeks ago, a man in our town shot and killed his wife, his wife’s mother and a 16-year old neighbor who was shielding the couples’ 3 young terrified children.  He also seriously wounded a police officer, who is in hospital and facing a long recovery.  The outpouring of support from our community with donations, meal trains and a benefit concert is heartening.

In the cause of world peace, domestic violence is a major starting point.  For the peace of our world, we must start in our own community, and there are many small but important steps anyone can adopt.

We can strive to resolve our own family issues with love and respect.  We can strive to get along peacefully with our neighbors.  Believe me, I know this is not easy!!!  No matter the provocations, we can strive to be warriors for peace, unafraid to love our worst “enemy”

In my family an aunt interviewed my grandfather, raised by a “wicked stop-mother.”  When my aunt asked about this, his single comment was “some things can never be forgiven.”  Yet he was a life-long church goer who likely sat through many a sermon on forgiveness and who read the words of Jesus “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.

And we can help our grocery clerk, gas station attendant and every one we meet by a friendly remark, wishing them a good day.

The most murderous individuals among us are the walking dead.  By lashing out for retribution against them, we then feed a monster who can never be filled and who continually wants more anger, fear and violence.  We can refuse to feed the monster and cut off his endless supply of victims.  The strivings of our Order name us as knights of the Spirit, bringing the greater Light into the world, dispelling the darkness of the sins of the world.   –Rev. Mary

For God so loved the world, that He gave the lost Word to man—that this being, man, might see earth and

heaven together.  He gave His Son, Christ Jesus—that man might fulfill the glory of being the Son of God—

Traveling from infinity to infinity surrounded in royal purple—to take his place above the angels

Requiring but one act:  that he love his Creator first.  Then would all other things be added unto him.

With pride in the words and works of the Father, which bringeth peace and harmony

Love that is conceived and born through self-forgetting servic3e to God, man and Spirit.

Soldiers of peace are not fighting a war
Are not looking for enemies behind every door
Are not looking for people to kill or to maim
Soldiers of peace are just changing the game

Men who were fighting for all of our lives
Are now fighting for children, for homes and for wives
Fighting for the memory of all who fell before
But the soldiers of peace just can’t kill any more

So come all you warriors who live for the fight
Come listen to somebody, someone who might
Have been there before you and they have the right
They’ve been dying to tell you the score
The old warriors don’t want you to hurt any more

Soldiers of peace can still hear the cries

When the people were screaming and losing their lives
When bodies were broken and spirits were torn
But the soldiers of peace do not want you to mourn

So come all you warriors who live for the fight
Come listen to somebody, someone who might
Have been there before you and they have the right
They’ve been dying to tell you the score
The old warriors don’t want you to hurt any more

Soldiers of peace are not fighting a war

No more, no more, no more, no more
